Well, it's fixed, just haven't released it yet.
Someone's having problems with the bullet bill part in Bowser's Castle (apparently the cutscene won't start) and I'm trying to figure out if it's a bug or just someone else making a mistake, no offense :)
I played through the Bullet Bill part with the beta/newest one. worked just fine!
P.S. The Crystal King is hard!!!

Oh, apparently the guy who had a problem with the Bullet Bill part was actually just bad at the game and his little brother had to beat it for him, lol.
it wont update and it wont use the save file thats in the same folder
it keeps telling me that it is a unknown version when i try to update and i tried most of the patches
Have you tried unzipping it again and patching a fresh version?
Also, I think it reads save files from a folder in My Documents.
Take the save files out of the folder, that's why it cant recognize the folder.

Hi U-division it's me! the seventh grader and the one who recommended different music for seven sages. i would test starlite worlds and seven sages 1.5.4c but my dad is picky on viruses so i can't for the time being. I'm sure it's great though. I can longer play seven sages for the time being because I switched computers and i lost my file for it. and it was 100% too =(. Hi U-Division! It's the 7th grader again(I'm tired of saying that). I gat seven sages now and I wonder if the new music will work because it didn't last time. Also, fix the the part in the sacred tower. If you get hit by a boulder, you'll slow down. And if someone doesn't know that you can fix the speed for mario, they might enter the pipe to go plumbing and get stuck there cuz they're too slow. It happened to me before. I hope this message helped everybody who encountered this problem.

Since U-division can't answer 24/7 then I'll answer it for you. I've told U-Division on bugs in the game before.
For Thwachoo, you might want to watch your health. His pound really hurts and make sure you have good items. You might use up a lot of FP so you'll need some FP restoration items. You want to equip Mario with the frog suit to heal, or the F.L.U.D.D. suit for high special. Luigi I never really cared about what he had. And since Bowser is slow, you want to have him as a healer unless he has a chance to attack. Use Mario Party items often.
For Hooktail & Gloomtail, you will need Mario Party 4s. Don't fight them unless you are at level 73 or higher. Don't trust me? Find someone who has done all seven sages bosses and uploaded it on youtube. He'll tell you almost what I just said. Bowser will have to be healer here to. Unless you have the monster move spin out to slow them down, Bowser needs to be a healer. Start the fight at full health and FP and you're good to go. Also, be cautious in the fight. Don't get carried away. That is all you need to know. Unless they changed and I didn't notice, try out my tips to beating them. Just watch out for their versions of ultra fireball.
To U-Division: While you're checking the sacred tower problem, please see if you fixed this. In Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door, the game said Gloomtail was the BROTHER of his sister Hooktail. In seven sages, Hooktail claimed that Gloomtail was his SISTER. But here are the genders of the three dragons:
-Hooktail: Female
-Gloomtail: Male
-Bonetail(not in seven sages): Male
I got really confused when I saw that because I'm pretty sure that they said Gloomtail was a bro. Anyways, power up Gloomtail a little bit will ya? I found him weaker than Hooktail when he was supposed to be stronger and have more HP.
(Haven't played a lot in seven sages yet. And I hate schools now. Too many tests and practice exams. Makes my mind hurt.)
Oh U-Division, if you haven't figured out which boulder it's the ones where you have to keep on going straight and cannot turn to get the orb.
The game is good so far but when I get the first sage the game kind of freezes but Luigi just dances and it keeps doing it for hours and hours.Do you know a way for it to become fix.Also in most LPs for the game it plays the end of the level theme from NSMB and it doesn't play on it.

for1.4.0,i've already complete the game,and sofar,there are two problem:
1.i don't know how to load the save file using v1.5.0
2.i can't update the v1.5.0by patch

1)You can't update 1.4 to 1.5.0, you need to download the new zip.
2)That's odd. Try updating to 1.6.0, and then use the other patch to update from 1.6.0 to 1.6.1.
3)You can't go back to the moon. You can buy anything you missed from Smasher K.'s shop.
What is star rank? i accept to change to star rank and my lv. dropped from 99lv. to 1lv(although my stats didn't drop)

Your stats do go up, but very slowly. If you get back to level 99, you'll have 30 more in each stat.

There aren't any codes for the game.
The directory is the the folder of the game. You unzipped it first, right? Choose the folder that has the SMRPG.exe in it.

Hey U-Division! I'm back after who knows how long. Did you find out anything about the boulder glitch that happens for whatever reason to my game? And when will the full version of starlite worlds come out?
Get the 1.5.0. to 1.6.0 patch and try to go to 1.6.1 from there.
I think I checked it out and fixed it. Or at least I made it so that exiting the room fixes your speed.
Starlite Worlds has at least another year in development.

You get the fire suit in the Cactus Kingdom. Talk to the couple (the Toad man and woman) who were on the bus but are now standing in the Cactus Kingdom.

Hey U-Division, sorry I haven't been commenting or helping out with seven sages. If you look back in the comments about a few months ago, I was the sixth grader.
But onto the game. Is there a reason why everytime I finish the game, I am always missing two pentagles and a badge block? By the way, I am playing 1.5.4c. I will patch it soon, but I'm surprised how much stronger Blue Nega Orb became. In 1.5.3, he was a joke. I could beat him easily. But now, not so much. Thanks for the monster arena though. It really helps finding the bullet bill pin. One problem though. How come when I need a B. Bill Pin it doesn't give me one and when I don't need it the game keeps giving me the pin? It's so frustrating how it torments you like that.

-I'll try to listen to that music, CY712. Yea, some times the game can be frustrating when it doesn't give you what you want. You should patch to the latest version to get the "Star Rank" power boost.
-To get a Boo Pin, defeat a Boo when it's invsible. You'll need Luigi's Poltergust Suit 3000 to do that.

Hey U-Division. I recently got the latest seven sages version. I'm only at the beginning though. I really enjoyed the game but there was one mechanic that I didn't like and it's the plumbing part. I hate those fighter flies. One time I had 25 seconds left on the clock but I ran out of time thanks to a fighter fly. They never move. Then another jammed the finish line. It took me 15 minutes just to clear it. It was insanity.
I was able to take on Ice King Boo on v1.5.4c. He was HARD if you're on your level 40s. He just spams big ice lick. The reward was awesome, but I never use it due to low accuracy.
I still thought it was funny how you placed yes on top if you wanted to serve the dark star. If you were rushing, sorry, you get a game over.

Hey, CY712. Yea, the plumbing can be a little frustrating at times, but it's not too bad.
Gag Boots are a fun item, but as the name suggests you're not supposed to use them seriously.
Starlite Worlds still has another year or more of development. Maybe you'll see it around summer 2012.
Okay U-Division, I'll look forward to summer 2012. It'll be really special if starlite worlds was released then. It will be on a leap year, president election, and the summer olympics 2012. I might just be able to remember it when that time comes.
I still haven't beat Blue Nega Orb yet. Spin out is useless now. He attacks every 2 seconds. At least the monster house helps me make more money.

Ha, that's true CY712, a lot is going on that year. Hopefully people won't forget about Starlite Worlds.
If the Blue Nega Orb is too hard, try upgrading to version 1.6.1. Are you at level 99? If you get to level 99 in version 1.6.0 and higher, you can get the "Star Rank" level.
I didn't finish 1.6.1 yet, but Blue Nega Orb is really hard. He's being cheap. His vines always pierces my increased defense. I do remember his attack pattern though. He usualy uses cosmic spirit or cosmic power on the first turn. Then he would make a move. I usually just ignore him and then go to the monster house. Cosmic Mario is much easier to grind money off of. By the way, why is there a question mark southwest of the maple kingdom? Is it another level you wanted to add just like the haunted house about a year or two ago?

Luckily, I can still send you messages and update what's going on. I also want know, is Starlite Worlds going to have many playable characters you can keep switching back and forth to whoever you want to use?

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you do better on your next exams.
As for Starlite Worlds we're not 100% certain how to go about the "final" party. You do switch between Bowser's Party (Bowser&Kammy), Kammy's Parry (Kammy, Sir Spinalot & Kappin) and Mario's Party (Mario & Luigi, and eventually Bowser). But you switch as the plot demands, not whenever you want. Maybe later in the game you'll be able to switch between Mario & Kammy's Party freely.

Hey U-Division, haven't been on for awhile. I have a question. Are you done with the Luigi Chronicles? I never actually finished seven sages due to the increase on tests. After going through about 20 hours of redoing everything in my file. Im finally satisfied to say I beat the hardest boss. Hes too hard if you don't have like 20 mario party 2s. It was still hard even with 20 sage toad boosts only because of his darn cosmic power....
Also what enemy can I find a boo pin from because I am not finding it in boos and dark boos or even ghost goombas on monster arena 88.

I'm trying to update the game. I downloaded the original version but now I'm encountering the glitch upon getting the red ruby so I need to update. I have version 1.5.0 I believe (whatever version you get when you first download). Everytime I click download (I've tried 1.5.0-1.6.0 and to 1.6.1 and a whole bunch of others) it loads very slowly before I get a "internet explorer cannot display the page" page. I had no issue downloading the game originally, and I already unzipped it, so I'm wondering if there's anything I can do or there's any solution. Thank you for your help.

once you download the new version how do you update? it opens a folder with the application and it asks me to run the update program. i click a couple times and it brings me to a little window that says it will update in the following directory. what directory do i do it in? i can sort of sift through my folders but it brings me to all this stuff about program files and other stuff i don't know what it is. any idea? the game is called super mario rpg-the seven sages on my computer i just dont know how to get to it to update.

It says for the game to run properly I have to extract all files so should I extract all the files?
Yes, extract the files.
Then download the 1.5.0 to 1.6.1 patch and run that after extracting it.
Then, when it asks you, choose the folder that you extracted Seven Sages to. It will then update your game.

Run the patch, and choose the folder you installed Seven Sages to.

Aaannd Im almost done completing the game 100% I'm just a little trouble beating surfin bros.
I beat surfin bros and I only need the last minigame of the game and by the way udivision the cutscene in the game about the luigi chronicles well that was a scary luigi picture I saw in there although it was kind of funny.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game. We tried our best, and hopefully our next one will be even better. TLC mission pack 1 should be out before the end of summer.
Udivision I just want to say good job keep up the good work and the blue nega orb was hard until you find a strategy for it then it works out fine and I beat the final boss pretty fast because I had dark bowser and I was at lv99.

hello u-division i have the 1.6.1 version of smrpg the seven sages but every time i turn off the game my data is erased to the time I saved it before I turned on the game what do I do?
Not sure what you can do about that...
When the game is still running and you save, do you know where the file goes to? It might be in My Documents. See if it gets erased when you close out of the game.

hi, i am waiting so much to play this game! but i cant understand this form to update, i need to download all patches? i downloaded the 1.5.0 files and all patches, but all of these patches dont can put the files on the folder where i puted the 1.5.0 files.

ah! i played it now, but the patch continues with the error "invalid folder" when i select the folder where are the game files. this problem will be from the patcher or from my computer.
Download 1.5.0 base file
Download patch 1.5.0 to 1.6.1 (one file)
Extract base file.
Run patch and chose that folder (make sure it's not a folder within a folder. Choose the folder that has the .exe in it)

That's a problem that I haven't seen. You may need to redownload and repatch the game. Your save file will still be useable though.
I'll download and give this game a shot but from what it sounds like I shouldn't put high hopes on getting very far without major glitches.
If there is a chance of a glitch I'll most likely find it as that tends to be my luck with electronics.

Okay, Um I got this game a few weeks ago (pretty awsome by the way) and updated the files and stuff properly to 1.6.1. But is there anyway to be sure that it's an updated version? Am I supposed to have the Monster Arena? 'Cause it's not there... I'm like halfway done but I don't want to continue until I know it's updated... help please...

Yea, that's right. You have 1.6.1.
The Monster Arena is on the world map in Mushroom Kingdom.
The files are apparently updated, but the arena isn't there!(west of Toad's house I think it's supposed to be, I saw it in a video)
My point being that the updates don't seem to be appearing in the game...
Try redownloading/repatching the game.
I already tried that... But I think the problem that I'm not making clear is this, the individual files (the ones in folders seperate from the application)are updated from the 1.5.0 to 1.6.1 patch, but are not being applied to the actual game... that's I think at least... sorry if this is confusing you...
Whatever the problem is, I may be misunderstanding or doing something wrong, but I want your opinion on what you think is...
Okay, I know I've posted without being responded to three times now... but is the exe. application thing with the 1.5.0 download? For some reason, when I extract everything, the exe. won't be extracted... for some reason it's blocked.
